That’s why we’re incredibly proud of the significant contributions made by our very own Carlos Rodriguez and Maddox Kilgore to the Cobb Community Foundation’s (CCF) impactful scholarship program.
The Cobb Community Foundation recently celebrated a remarkable milestone: its 11th year of awarding scholarships, having distributed over $1.2 million to 212 deserving students since 2015. This year alone, CCF awarded an inspiring $198,686 to 79 new and renewing recipients through 16 scholarship funds, empowering students to pursue their educational dreams.
Carlos Rodriguez: Guiding the Path to Success
We’re thrilled to share that our co-founder, Carlos Rodriguez, served as the Chair of the 2025 CCF Scholarship Committee. This pivotal role involves guiding the entire selection process and identifying the dedicated local professionals who volunteer their time as reviewers. Carlos’s leadership was instrumental in ensuring that the scholarships reached students who truly embody courage, ambition, and big dreams.
As the CCF noted, the emotional impact of these scholarships is profound. Beyond easing financial burdens, they send a powerful message: “You are valued. Someone believes in you.” Carlos’s dedication to this committee directly contributed to delivering that message, fostering a sense of joy, relief, and validation for countless students.
Maddox Kilgore: A Dedicated Volunteer Reviewer
While Carlos was busy leading the committee, our other co-founder, Maddox Kilgore, was also actively involved, serving as a volunteer reviewer for the scholarship applications. Maddox dedicated his time and expertise to thoughtfully evaluate applications, playing a crucial role in identifying the bright, deserving students who would receive these life-changing awards.
The CCF emphasized that these scholarships wouldn’t be possible without the dedicated local professionals who volunteer their time and expertise as reviewers. Maddox’s thoughtful input and care made a real difference in students’ lives, helping to ensure that every scholarship dollar had the maximum impact.
